With a background in medicine, my creative side was always waiting for its moment to shine — mahjong unexpectedly gave it one.
Mahjong is a little skill, a little luck and a lot of magic. I began playing less than a year ago and I'm hooked. I'm not in it for the win, though I love winning. I'm not in it for the snacks, though I love those too. I'm in it for the people at the table — the connection, the magic, this game brings out. I've never had more fun losing a game than when I play mahjong. An unlucky hand still means a loss, but who's complaining with a beautiful set in front of you, and good company beside you?
My love of hosting — and belief that the little details change how a space feels — is what I bring into everything I create.
Every Charleston & Main piece is handcrafted in small batches in Ridgewood, NJ. As a woman-owned, USA-made brand, care and craftsmanship come first.
